developing a open source web application for USCIS. This application allows a
customer to electronically file an I-90 (replacement for greencard
application). As well as allowing adjudicators to adjudicate them by
interfacing with external systems and pulling in data that is needed to
adjudicate a case. ·
Used HTML and
AngularJS on the frontend to develop a dynamic UI experience. This included
writing and implementing directives, utilizing Angular's data binding
and dependency injection to minimize code rewrite. Using and writing CSS to
style the html in creative and efficient templates. ·
Connecting the
frontend to the service layer using Spring MVC, and REST calls to the JAVA
controller/end points. Secured the endpoints by using Spring Security. ·
At the JAVA
layer I used Mockito for mocking service/DAO classes in JUnit tests. I
created POJOs, interfaces, service implementation classes, and
Controllers/Endpoints. Utilized anonymous classes for sorting and organizing
sets and strings. ·
To connect from Java
to the Oracle database, I implemented DAO objects that queried the database
using Spring Data and Hibernate. ·
